Hi Wupsters!
Thank you to the 38 or so who attended our meeting last Monday – I think a good time was had by all. Our next club meeting is on Monday 22nd October and we will be completing song book 4 and moving on to book 5.
We have no more gigs booked for October but there are two confirmed for November. These are The Stroke Club at Spire Cafe, St John’s Church, Burgess Hill on 5th November from 2.30pm to 3.30pm (meet no later than 2.15pm), and our old friends at St Peter and St James Hospice on Thursday 15th November from 2.00pm until 3.00pm (meet by 1.45pm).
Finally, we are now in the process of preparing song book 8. We already have a number of songs for inclusion but we would like to ask you for your suggestions and we will choose some of those too. The rules are :
If you wish to suggest one (one per person please) please make sure it is likely to be reasonably well known,
not too difficult so everybody can enjoy playing it,
if possible attach a song sheet or maybe a web address,
and you must know it well enough to be able to stand up and lead it off on a club night.
As always, if you are not currently a member and would like to join us please just come along to our next meeting and introduce yourself. Novices and experienced welcome.
