Firstly some news concerning the upcoming TORCH gig on Friday 2nd August. I was alerted by three eagle eyed lady members (thank you girls) to the fact that the road from Hassocks to Hurstpierpoint is temporarily closed and therefore access to TORCH cannot be made from the Hassocks direction. Access is available from Hurstpierpoint village via High Street and Hassocks Road. My suggestion would be to take the A2300 (which is the road that links Burgess Hill to the A23) turn left at the first roundabout after the Triangle Sports Centre roundabout, and follow Cuckfield Road (past the Sportsman Pub) all the way to Hurstpierpoint Village. Turn immediately left through the Village and into Hassocks Road. TORCH is on the right as you leave the village. I’m sure there are other routes – but please don’t try to come from the Hassocks direction!
