Hi Wupsters! This is just to confirm that the next meeting is Monday 22nd July at 8pm at the United Services Club in Haywards Heath as usual.
As our next ‘gig’ is at TORCH on Friday 2nd August, we thought it would be a good idea to use our new ‘Performance Songs’ book for our forthcoming meeting, to run through the newer songs that have been added to make sure we are ‘up to scratch’ particularly with any intros. It should be a fun meeting (aren’t they all!) as all the songs in that book are pretty well known to us.
We still haven’t settled on a signature song for WUPS! and the forthcoming meeting will be the last opportunity for any suggestions. Anyone wishing to submit one will need to bring along 20 copies with them to the meeting please so that we can all play them through to gauge the reaction.
As the TORCH gig is before our next meeting it is worth reminding members who have never played there before that the address is Torch Holiday and Retreat Centre, 4 Hassocks Road, Hurstpierpoint, West Sussex BN6 9QN. The performance will start at 8pm so please arrive at or before 7.45pm to set up.
